I think that the Watsons are good parents. I think they're good parents because they're parents that are willing to take a risk with their kids, also it shows that they love their kids. It maybe hard to raise kids that do particular things that makes their parents mad, for example: In chapter 7, Mrs. Watson is mad because of what Byron did to his hair. Mrs. Watson thought it was a joke and said to Byron, '' Byron Watson, you take off that hat and get over here right this minute''.

Also his dad, Mr. Watson is trying not to get mad at what Byron has done. He tries to wash out the chemicals in his hair but sadly it has to grow out. I think Byron has to go to a prison and meet his dad. He's kind of nervous because evn his little brother Joey said '' Why is this so funny to you Kenny?''

I think I might live with the Watsons because Mrs. Watson craes about her family and doesn't like anyone mkaing smart comments, not even her husband. For example: Mr. Watson was making a comment about how Mrs. Watsons mother screams into the phone so Mrs. Watson said
'' You leave my mother alone.'' That shows that she loves her grandmother.

But overall, living with the Watsons would be an up and down type of relationship because there's some things that they do to their children that's bad. Trust me you would not want to be in chapter 5. For example: Mrs. Watson warned Byron not to play with fire and she said'' I won't have you putting this family in danger. Just once more, Byron Watson, one more time and you're
burned.'' Even though it's painful, It shows that she cares.

JDizzle's Journal 5 Entries

September 14, 1963

Grandma Sands specifically said, '' If y'all going to the water, she said stay away from Collier's Landing because Miss Thompson's son Jimmy, got caught
in the Whool Pool [ Whirl Pool], and they said that they couldn't find the poor
soul's body for three days. Grandma Sands said to stay away from Collier's Landing, but of course I have to do the opposite and learn my lesson. I stuck my hand in the water and the ground under my feet were sliding away from the shore and I got really nervous. Next thing you know, I was kicking in the water. I was trying to swim away but my head bobbed under the water. then my head bobbed under the water a second time and when I watch cartoons they say that if your head goes down a third time you never come back up again.

Justin's 45-minute reading response

This part of the story was about how Rowley had a cmoic strip called Zoo-Wee Mama but he quit that because he said he wanted more time to play with his ''Dinoblazer action figures. So since Rowley's magic act was toast, Rodrick and his band were in the talent show, and let me just tell you they really sucked. It was so bad that Mr. Heffley had to leave the auditorium and put earplugs on. It was certainly not pretty.
